On December 6th, the time had come again: we set off from La Résidence to the Herblinger Taufwald forest to celebrate our forest Christmas at the barbecue area.
We started with handcarts and backpacks, making our way up the bumpy forest path. Once at the top, Peter first got a campfire going. We provided the food ourselves.
For starters there were delicious salmon rolls and white wine, followed by rolled ham (specially baked by Rolf in bread dough) with potato salad and red wine; everything was eaten down to the last bite!
With coffee and a delicious Swedish cake (a surprise from Peter), the whole thing turned into a lovely, convivial pre-Christmas celebration.
